My small granny squares project.

My project with the small granny squares is now finished.
63 small squares were sewn together.

And then sewn together in the sides and bottom.
(When starting to sew the bottom I made a mistake, which made the whole thing turn out wrong. I had also sewn so tight that I was unable to undo it without breaking the squares, so I had to add one more square to get it right... But I don't think it can be seen.)

Then I made a lining and found a pair of round wooden handles from my crafts storage.
And here is my new finished handbag.

I think it turned out ok, and this was a quick and fun project to do with some leftover balls of yarn :)

Ah, I wondered what you were making as it initially looked the right size for a crib, pram or something similar. Lovely natural colours.

Hilde, thanks for trying to identify my mystery salt marsh flower from our walk at Thornham. Turns out it is a Sea Aster after the purple petals have fallen off, leaving behind their yellow centre which turns into a fluffy seed head! Now we know. Still smelt lovely though.
