Mittens again.

A new knit project is on the needles, and this time it's not a stash-buster project.

It's a pair of mittens that has been started. The yarn is an alpacca/wool mix, and nice and soft.
(The brown colour is a little lighter in real life than in the photo).

The mittens are for my youngest daughter. She chose the pattern herself from a Rauma mittens pattern booklet.
They will be like the pair in the upper right picture.

Starten.

The start.

Although I inherited several sets of double pointed needles, I wouldn't have a clue either how to knit with them or even follow what looks like a complicated pattern to a novice knitter like myself. I am though, just knitting myself a new pair of slippers to felt ready for this winter!

They look lovely Hilde. I love the colours and they would go with anything because they are neutral colours.
