Stash-busting #10 - Shawl.

Mønsteret fant jeg her

My last stash-buster project for April is a crochet shawl in naturally dyed wool, which just got finished before the time was up :)

My original plan was to make a small shawl, but after a little while I realised that this would not work as a small shawl. So I just kept crocheting adding more and more rows untill it was big enough to wrap myself in.
If I had known the shawl would end up this size I would rather have used more colours, but this is how it turned out...

The pattern was found here.

The shawl was crocheted in treble crochet on hook no. 5.
Finally I crocheted a row of single crochet around the edge.

The amount of yarn spent on the shawl was 394 grams.

This shawl awakes in me words like cozy, warm, protected, wrapped-in, feeling good, fall, winter, rainy days, earthly colors and earthly joys, windy days, hearth fire, evening chill, morning breeze, snuggled-in, garden stroll, walk in the woods, cloudy and foggy skies, cool spring hours - and many more...

What a blessing you made yourself Hilde!

What a lovely shawl, Hilde! ♥ Great natural color play and as simple the pattern is, as beautiful it is!! Perfect for playing with colors and yours are matching wonderfully :-). Together with the basket it reminds of a walk in the woods, smelling fresh autumn in the air and collecting some of Mother Nature's gifts!
