Finished.

I have started going through and tidying a little in my yarn stash.
I have several types of yarn; some plant dyed wool, some cotton and also some store bought yarn, stored away in different places. Now I intend to go through it all and tidy and organize.
While tidying I have found several works in progress that needs to be finished. A few of them only need very little work to be finished, so my goal is to finish them (or hopefully most of them) in autumn.

Two of the WIPs that I found were these wine bags that I knitted a little while ago. Both were knitted from plant dyed yarn, the yellow was dyed with tansy and the redish with madder root.
One wine bag was already felted, the other one was knitted but not felted. So I threw it in the washing mashine to felt it, and then sewed on a crochet flower as decoration on both winebags. The crochet flowers (found during tidying too) got a small black onyx bead in the center.
The finished wine bags go into the Christmas gift stock :)

And it was the Autumnal Equinox today. A day of ballance, when the day and night were of equal length all over the earth.
Now we enter the dark season, and from now on the days will be shorter and the night longer untill Midwinter.

Lovely things, are they easy to knit?

I knitted a wine bottle bag for my friend Sally at Lavender Attic early this year. I just made the pattern up but I left it knitted, I love your felted ones!

Those are really pretty and are a perfect christmas gift! It´s a good feeling, going through your stash and finishing old projects that have been lying around... one really should do that more often!

Thank you, Samantha :)

Datacreata, the start is the most difficult, but apart from that they are very easy to knit. I'll translate the pattern for you if you want :)

Thank you, Anne :) I guess your wine bottle bag turned out beautifully!

Thanks Kristin, I too think they are nice gifts with f.ex a bottle of wine or a bottle of home made cordial :) I'm still working on going through my yarn stash, taking little by little, and it definately will be good to finally finish some of those old stored away projects :)

Hi,Hilde!
Those wine bags dyed with natural plants are very pretty! The crochet flowers perfectly give colors on them. The wine bottles must be feeling comfortable,Hilde.

Thank you Tomoko and Mac :)
