Stash-busting #17 - Bloom coasters.

I have used up a little cotton from my yarn stash crocheting these sweet coasters.
The pattern is made by Ana over at Lanas de Ana, and if anyone would like to have a go at the coasters her pattern can be found here.

The pattern called for fine thread for the border, however I did not have any in my stash, so I ended up using the same cotton, in four different colours, for the border. The border colours are bright and summerly, and I think these coasters will fit nicely on the summer table :)

Beautiful flower pattern :)
I am thinking I would like to make a set of red and white coasters later for Christmas, which would look pretty on the Christmas table.

Garnforbruk 45 gram.

That's 45g of cotton yarn destashed.

Very pretty! The collection of coasters makes me thing I should have a tea party with my friends! Actually I made several coasters with cotton in plain white before. I used them many times and then the coasters had many brown spots. But I did not want to throw them out. After thinking a lot I dyed in light brown with English tea! They have come alive and I still use them!!
Enjoy your day,Hilde,
