My Trysil mittens.

Trysil vottene mine er ferdige :)

My knitted Trysil mittens are finished :)

This is the first pair of traditional mittens I have ever knitted, and I am very pleased with them.
The pattern was nice and rythmic, so they were not at all difficult to knit.

The first mitten turned out a little bit large, while mitten no two fit my hand perfectly. Woolen mittens can be stretched a little, but as the smalles mitten had the best size I did not want to stretch it any bigger. Instead I unraveled the first mitten and reknitted it, and then it turned out well.

(These photos are not the best, but when uploading the photos to my compyter the memory card broke.... As I was unable to take any more photos these will have to do.
Tomorrow morning I will be off to buy a new memory card for my camera!)

As it's still winter here it's good to have a new pair of mittens to wear :)

Beautiful work . You are so clever and patient. Maybe not hard but very fiddly I am sure to knit such lovely patterns. They look so warm against the snow. Hugs xoxox

They are gorgeous Hilde but despite what you say they look very difficult to me! You are very clever and creative.

These are gorgeous!! I love the simple black & white, but the pattern looks difficult to me. What patience and resolve you have to rip out and reknit the first mitten, but it's nice to get it right in the end. We're still in winter too ... come on Spring, where are you?! Wendy

They look very cosy... I'm yet to try something so complicated though maybe a bit of pattern on a hat at some point!

Så flotte strikkevotter! Nydelig håndarbeid!
Hos oss regner det i dag. Jeg håper bare at all snø og is forsvinner nå.
Ha en fin uke!
