A little Sunday trip.

On Sunday last weekend we went on a little trip to visit a farm that keep alpacas.
The alpaca is not a native animal to northern Europe, so it was nice to see that they can live a good life up here so far north.
They were such calm and friendly animals, and seemed like nice personalities.
Here are some photos from our visit :)

At the farm there was also a little shop in which they sold alpaca wool and homespun yarn made from wool from the farm alpacas.
The wool was just lovely, so light and soft.

I did buy a little; some alpaca wool and two skeins of homespun alpaca yarn.
The yarn was soft and beautiful. It has not been dyed, so perhaps I will dye it with plants eventually.
I don't know what I will knit from this yarn, but as it is homespun I have to find something special to do with it. I have to think well about it before deciding :)

Beautiful animals! It is cold here this evening - don't laugh, for us it's cold! :-) I feel warmer already just looking at them!
Have a great weekend Hilde, dreaming about what lovely thing to create with this gorgeous wool!
