Weekend flowers #98.

Yet another dull, grey and rainy day today.
But never mind, it is spring :-)

I went into town today, and came home with a beautiful geranium.
It's a 'Queen Ingrid' with light pink flowers.

Last week I bought a pack of pansies, which has been waiting to be potted (the poor flowers were looking a bit sad by now).
When I returned home from town I decided to pot on the pansies and my new geranium straight away.
I will plant more pots to place around the garden eventually, but at least now there are three pots of flowers planted in time for the National Day next week.

The pansies were planted in big plastic pots. Earlier I have planted in clay pots only. However unfortunately so many of those have broken, plus they are so heavy to drag around the garden. So now I am trying out lightweight plastic pots too. It might not look so pretty while the flowers are small, but as they grow larger they take fokus away from those pots.
The Queen Ingrid-geranium was planted in a clay pot, and she is looking so pretty :)

The birch trees are opening the leaves now :)

The crocuses have been lovely this spring, and they have luckily left alone by the roedeers.
In autumn I will plant some yellow ones too.

Allt gott! Kram Pia

It's amazing to see spring unfolding in Norway and going through the stages we had here in March-April... Thank you for the lovely updates!
We had some rain/thunderstorm here yesterday, and today is a glorious sunny day :)
Have a wonderful weekend, with plenty of sunshine in your heart!
Hugs!

I love the soft pink colour of the geranium :) I know what you mean about clay pots being so heavy! I have two large ones that I drag from the shed to the patio every year, but I still like the look of them - especially when they get all weathered. Seeing your birch trees reminds me of my childhood home where we had a hillside of birch, and I loved to hear the rattle of their leaves in the wind ;) Have a great weekend Hilde, Wendy
