Stash-busting #16 - Scarf.

My first stash-buster project in June is finished; a scarf knitted from multicoloured polyester yarn.
While knitting it I discovered that I'm not a big fan of polyester yarn, I find it a bit tricky to knit with. But with 10 mm needles the scarf worked up quickly.
It wasn't that easy to photograph the scarf either...

...so it needed a model to show what it looks like.

The scarf is ca 1,5 meter long and rather stretchy, and the fringes are ca 20 cm long.
It weighed in at 74 grams.

There were nine balls of this multicoloured polyester yarn in my stash, and one and a half ball was used up on the scarf.
Now I have started to knit a bag using the same yarn, which hopefully will use up a bigger amount of yarn.

I am thinking it will be a simple bag with bamboo handles. It's not working up so fast, so I'll just wait and see if it will be finished by the end of June :)

I love the look of this scarf Hilde! All those shades of purple look great. I feel the same way about acrylic yarn, it doesn't have the same "give" and the squeaking on the needles is like nails on a chalkboard for me :] Wendy

The colours are lovely but know what you mean about stretchy! I have some in blue and purple - I did try some crochet with it but found it tricky...though thinking about it now, granny squares I can do by feel! You might have re-inspired me to try again Hilde!

I love the colors, but I don't like to knit from that kind of yarn ether. The scarf looks good.
