A little crochet and knitting done lately, successes and failures.
After seing photos of some lovely round potholders, I wanted to try crocheting some.
Now I have finished a simple test pair. I did not have a pattern, so I used the methode of trying and failing.
There was a lot off of fuzz at first, but in the end I managed to crochet a (not so pretty) pair that is both flat and round. (:-D)
They were crocheted in double cotton yarn, eight rounds plus a round of lace at the edge.
I run out of pink yarn for the second pot holder, so the pair is not alike... and also one pot holder turned out a little larger than the other, but they will serve their purpose nevertheless.
I do see a certain progress from pot holder no 1 to pot holder no 2, so now I have a hope that the next pair will turn out better, and completely alike :)
I also have crocheted a shopping bag, which I think turned out ok.
The bag is stretchy, so there is room for much more in there that it looks like.
I have decided to make more of these eventually, as reusable shopping bags can help keep the use of plastic bags to a minimum.

The potholders are so lovely - they do not have to match - why do they have to match? :-)
I imagine you sitting in the warm room, maybe near the fire, with the snow and the cold outside, knitting and crocheting - a nice picture!
Have a good Sunday Hilde!
They look good. What size needle did you use to cast on your stitches for the dish cloths and did you use cotton or knitting wood? I am such a tight knitter I may have to go up a size as well.
I absolutely adore the bag and the potholders are pretty cool too.
So nice you all stoped by, and thanks for your lovely comments :)
Datacreata: For the dishcloths I use ordinary cotton yarn, and either needles 5,5 or 6 :)
Imponerende handlenett! :-)
Ha en kjempefin tirsdag! :-)
Hi, just to let you know that I have given you a versatile blogger award as I love reading your blog. Please don't feel obliged to accept or even 'obey' the acceptance rules.
Your potholders are soooo cute and the colours so happy! :-) Love your bag too... crochet is so much fun!
