September.

How time flies, it is already September.
Not so much has happened here lately, except for my oldest daughter moving away from home to go to school in the western part of the country, and we went with her to the school last weekend. Western Norway is very different from the eastern part of the country where I live. The nature there is really spectacular. I took lots of photo, and I will post some when I have sorted them out.

Here where we live the first colours of autumn are starting to appear. The maple tree by the driveway has got the first red and yellow leaves.

The growing season will not last much longer, but we are still harvesting carrots and onions in the kitchen garden. And there are lots of ripe tomatoes in the greenhouse.

This is some of what I have been doing lately.
The chilli pepper harvest has been nice this year. I have dried and frozen lots of chilli peppers, and have made a batch of sweet chilli sauce.
I have also made juice from red currants and raspberries from the garden, baked bread and rolls and made strawberry jam.

I have also been doing some crochet, using ups some left over balls of plant dyed yarn.
Small granny squares of just two rounds, these are so quick and fun to make.
I have fifty squares so far, but I will need a few more to finish my project.

Happy September, Hilde! :)
We have the first signs of Autumn here in the Alps too... first autumn crocusses showing up in the woods, and the first hazelnuts! Soon chestnuts will be ripe too.
Your home-made produce from your own harvest looks yummy!!!
Happy gardening and happy crafting, Hilde! :)

Oh it all looks so yummy, I would love to taste this sweet chili sauce. You are so lucky to live in such a wonderful place and country.
Summer is ending here too but Autumn is also great isn't it? Especially for colour lovers!
Love, love, love the colours of your crochet squares. I'm very curious about your project.
Sleep well Hilde :)

Autumn is my favourite time of year. I love those crochet squares, they remind me of lichen on rocks. You have such an eye for detail. Any chance of a recipe for chilli sauce as we love it?
