Well, despite it being wordless Wednesday's post, I'm curious to learn the name of this beautiful woodpecker (not something we have here!). How big is he? Gorgeous photos of him Hilde :) Wendy
Wendy, this woodpecker is a Dendrocopos major, which is a medium sized bird and the most common woodpecker in Norway. He lives in the wood just outside my house, and I see and hear him often. He usually sits in the top of the trees, so it's not easy to get a good photo of him. I was quite happy with these two photos :)
Haha, Yael, I do think he is hungry :) He also comes by the bird's feeding place in my garden.
